Super Smash Bros Crusade is a fun fighting fangame inspired by the Super Smash Bros. saga, in which players can control a cast of more than seventy different characters from all types of media. Here you will find some of the most famous faces in video game history, such as Ryu, Kirby, Sonic, Rayman, Snake or Samus, but also big names in manga and anime such as Goku, Vegeta or Agumon. And even the occasional meme character, such as Weegee.

The history of Super Smash Bros Crusade dates back to 2008, when a team of only three people started working on the project. Two years later, in 2010, they released the first public demo. Since then, the development of the game has continued on a more or less regular basis, incorporating more than a hundred people into a colossal project, involving dozens of programmers, artists, dubbers, musicians, and much more.

In Super Smash Bros Crusade you will find several different game modes, both for single player and for playing with friends. Multiplayer allows up to six players to participate in exciting pitched battles, either a free-for-all or in teams. In addition, although the game does not include native support for online play, you will be able to use external tools such as Parsec to do so. As far as single-player modes are concerned, you will be able to enjoy the Classic Mode, in which you will have three lives to reach the final boss; and the Training Mode, in which you will be able to improve your skills with each character.

Speaking of characters, that is undoubtedly one of the strengths of Super Smash Bros Crusade. As mentioned above, the game features an overwhelming cast, drawn from a multitude of different video games. Each character also has its own special attacks, its own animations, and its own alternate versions. Some of them even include secret characters. For example, one of the alternative colors of Phoenix Wright, will allow you to play with Miles Edgeworth.

If the Super Smash Bros Crusade characters are an important element for the game, the settings are not far behind. As with all Smash titles, each of the settings has its own personality and its own secrets. And here it is no different. Learning the behavior of the different maps in the game is essential to be able to win at higher difficulty levels. Some, like the Tetris setting, can be lethal if you are not very attentive to the pieces falling from the top.
